Cap-aux-Diamants magazine cover II

Cap-aux-Diamants is a French-language magazine dedicated to the cultural and social history of Quebec. This is my cover illustration for their Summer 2025 issue, which is dedicated to the siege of Quebec City by the revolutionary American army in the winter of 1775-1776.

The simplicity of your lines and colour choices amaze me. The white. I don’t know how you’re able to make me feel the cold and choked by the smoke and despair. Well done. Congratulations on the cover!

Hello Julian, We are currently on Seabourn Sojourn nearing Greenland, and scheduled for Quebec City in a few days. Your illustration motivates us to visit those historic sites. Your cover depicts the horror of war very well. Louis
